He really cared for us he gave us hats when the sun began shining, he closed the roof of the boat once it got too hot, he gave us pineaple,... and he was always smiling. We also saw tours with big boats, but I think our private tour was a much better experience. The price is also good. A great way to explore the delta area travelling on lots of back roads. On our tour we saw a great deal including Kei Quyt Forest, travelled on a canoe past old VC bunkers and went to Sa Dec to see the colourful flower markets. Many eating stops a long the way. Tripadvisor performs checks on had Hai as a tour guide and he was fantastic. My partner, myself and our 6 year old daughter travelled in a very comfortable luxury minivan. As Hai is a local to Mekong, he could give a lot of information on the places we visited. We experienced first hand what life is like on the Mekong River, sampling plenty of local produce. From the delicious coconut candies to seeing how they make their rice noodles. My most memorable meal was at an ancient house on return from Mekong. Simple fresh produce prepared by a large family in beautiful surroundings. Wonderful hospitality. We took boats, rode bicycles, strolled through incredible markets. It was such an adventure!! An unforgetable experience that we will never forget. Tripadvisor performs checks on would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is up for adventure in the Mekong without the crowdedness of most other day started with getting picked up from our accommodation and our tour guide, Bao, providing a high level overview of the day's activities. The first stop we made was for a light breakfast and drink which was a nice way to break up the long drive to the cycling activity was great as the bikes provided were very comfortable for the terrain which made it easier to enjoy the scenery of durian and jackfruit trees. The activity is suitable for all fitness levels and Bao ensures that everyone is able to go at their own pace and allows for multiple stops to take photos. You are provided with a bottle of water at the beginning of the activity and about midway through we had a stop at a small shop where we could get more water included as part of the tour at no further cost and Bao also went to buy the local speciality which was a delicious fried banana also at no further cost.Prior to returning to the bike rental shop, we had lunch at local restaurant which was a delicious bowl of pho and again, this was another stop where we could grab more bottles of returning the bikes, we walked to the boat tour which was about 5min away. While making our way to the kayaking spot, we were given the opportunity to drive the boat! The kayaking was through a very calm stretch of water which made it easy to paddle and suitable for even first time back on the boat, we had a feast of local it was a fantastic day out and I would highly recommend to everyone!Review of Experience Mekong By Bike, Boat and Kayak Day TripWritten June 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
